Kasbah Angour is a boutique hotel with 27 rooms & suites, beautifully designed with traditional Moroccan materials, locally made furniture and brightly coloured Berber rugs. Rooms have some modern touches such as underfloor heating, air conditioning & wifi. All rooms feature sunny terraces with lovely views.

There are 18 Superior rooms, quietly situated with access directly from Kasbah Angour’s gardens. These are in two wings: the Assif rooms with spectacular views across the valley to the mountains beyond; and the Adrar rooms with views to the summits of the mountains.

The beds can be made up as two singles or one king size double. Superior Rooms can take one extra bed (supplement may apply). En suite bathrooms have a bath and shower combined, apart from two Superior rooms with large walk-in showers.

Seven Tower Junior Suites vary in size and are located in Kasbah Angour’s three towers and all feature comfortable seating areas. Three Junior Suites are located in the Adrar Tower on the eastern side of Kasbah Angour, the Agadir Junior Suite is on the northern side of the Central Tower and three more Junior Suites are located in the Assif Tower to the west.

Beds can be made up as one king size double or two singles. The Tower Junior Suites can also be adapted to accommodate families; most take two extra beds and two of the suites can take three extra beds.

The Angour Deluxe Suite is named after Mount Angour to the south of the Kasbah. It is located on the first floor in the central tower and has an entrance hall, bedroom, bathroom and a Moroccan salon. The spacious  bedroom looks due south across the gardens to the summits of the mountains. There is a large bathroom with bath and walk in shower. The comfortable Moroccan salon has views to the south and east. It incorporates a very attractive bar with sink and fridge. There is a large private terrace  adjoining the salon, with wonderful panoramic views.

Beds can be made up as one king size double or two singles. For families, the Moroccan salon in Angour Deluxe Suite can be adapated into two extra beds.

Facilities

Le Grand Atlas Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner to both guests and non-residents. Dishes use fresh, seasonal produce from on site gardens and local suppliers. There is a variety of Moroccan and Mediterranean themed specialities with the accent firmly on flavoursome and healthy dishes. The chef is happy to cater for vegetarians and to adjust dishes for those with special dietary requirements.

Café-Bar Azrou serves hot & cold drinks. Guests can also choose food from the restaurant menu. Kasbah Angour is licenced and has a good selection of local beers, Moroccan fine wines and spirits. The Café-Bar is built of stone (“azrou” is taken from the Berber for stone) and decorated with traditional Moroccan artefacts. For a large part of the year, including the winter months, the fine weather means that it is ideal to sit outside. Several outside terraces adjoin the Café-Bar which give wonderful views across the gardens to the surrounding panorama. One night per week (typically Saturdays or Mondays) there is a Moroccan Berber musical evening in the Café-Bar when local villagers play.

The swimming pool is set in the southern gardens and benefits from the views to the summits of the mountains. As the pool is not heated, the best months for swimming are April to October.

Kasbah Angour has 10 acres of gardens to enjoy so there are many different areas to explore. The southern gardens are planted with flower beds, trees & lawn; the northern side of the Kasbah has formal gardens, with rose and other flower beds, low hedges and fruit trees. There is a wonderful courtyard bordered by a pergola for al fresco dining. Don't forget the herb and vegetable garden to the north-east of the Kasbah.

There are many activities for families including walking, guided day trips, mountain biking, camel ride, and cooking.
