Summary
The perfect introduction to Croatia; a taster itinerary from Zagreb to Dubrovnik which includes a private driver and local guides.
START - Zagreb / FINISH - Dubrovnik
Activity code: CRJ02
Duration: 8 Days
This private journey itinerary is one of our most popular routes. Meeting up with your driver in the capital Zagreb and including Plitvice National Park, Zadar, Split, Hvar Island and Mostar in Bosnia & Herzegovina en route to Dubrovnik. In just eight days you can explore a huge variety of scenery and history in this fascinating country.
The exploration begins straight away on this holiday as your first day includes a private walking tour of the sights of Zagreb. A second night in Zagreb allows you a full day in the north, visiting Trakoscan castle, Samobar and the unique ethno-village of Kumoravec. Heading south you will enjoy a day in the incredible countryside of central Croatia, visiting both Rastoke and Plitvice Lakes National Park.
The middle section of this journey is in central Dalmatia visiting the historically fascinating towns of Zadar, Primosten and Split, along the way we have included some wine tasting and olive oil tasting in addition to the beautiful Adriatic coastline. A free day in Split offers the chance to visit one of the nearby islands such as Hvar or consider an excursion to the Cetina Valley for rafting or zipline adventure.
From Split your journey continues through southern Dalmatia, detouring inland to visit Mostar to see the stunning bridge, which was lovingly reconstructed after the war of the 1990s, and experience the old town's atmosphere. We feel that the best finale to this holiday is a few nights in Dubrovnik where you can relax, enjoy some activities and sightseeing without your driver as the local buses and cable car offer an excellent service.
