If you aren't sure which of Morocco's premier ancient cities to visit then why not stay in both? This holiday is a popular twin centre break which includes the Imperial Cities of Marrakech and Fez. Depending upon how you wish to travel and how much time you have available you can also fit in a third city, for example Casablanca or Rabat (located, quite conveniently, approximately half-way between).
We cannot recommend this holiday highly enough as it includes two of Morocco's most fascinating cities and plenty of stunning scenery. We include all transport, guided city tours and a choice of stunning riads (or hotels). A fantastic introduction to Morocco!
Important Information
If you prefer we can offer a version of this holiday with private transfers for all journeys, allowing you to travel through the Mid Atlas Mountains in one direction (with an optional stop at the incredible Cascades d'Ouzoud).
City Tours include an English-speaking guide, all transport and entry fees to historic monuments; followed by an exploration of the souks and focal points of the medinas in both cities.
Flights available to book with us through a range of airlines, from various UK airports either out to Marrakech and home from Fez or vice versa. Travelling to/from the same airport in Morocco would usually mean adding an extra night at the departure location as well as the return train tickets (or transfers). If we book your flights this means that your holiday will also be fully ATOL protected.
Prices shown are a guideline "from" (in UK Pounds) and are based on a travelling party of at least 2 adults. Single supplements may need to be applied to the twin/double price and discounts for children (under 12yrs) and/or a 3rd adult sharing a room are available upon request. Quoted prices for individual enquiries will depend upon your chosen accommodation, room availability and dates of travel. We always aim to match a high quality experience with exceptional value for money. Discounts will apply if there are 3 or more people in your travelling party as fixed costs such as transportation and guides will be shared equally between the group.

Itinerary
Day 1 - arrive into Marrakech; private transfer directly to your accommodation.
Day 2 - a private half day guided tour of Marrakech's main historic sights, including the souks and the Djemma el Fna; afternoon - free time to relax or explore further.
Day 3 - free day for optional extra sightseeing & activities, e.g. a cookery class, quad biking in the Palmeraie, a visit to the incredible Cascades of Ouzoud.
Day 4 - a private transfer to Marrakech railway station; depart on first class train to Rabat (journey time is approx. 4 hours). Private transfer on arrival in Rabat to your riad; balance of day to explore Rabat on foot.
Day 5 - more free time in Rabat. Private transfer to Rabat railway station; depart on first class train to Fez (journey time is approx. 3 hours). Private transfer on arrival in Fez directly to your riad.
Day 4 - a private transfer to Marrakech railway station; depart on first class train to Fez (journey time is approx. 7 hours). Private transfer on arrival in Fez to your riad.
Day 5 - a private half-day guided city tour of Fez.
Day 6 - optional extra sightseeing and activities (e.g. a guided day trip to nearby Meknes & the fabulous Roman ruins of Volubilis).
Day 7 - a private transfer to Fez airport OR take the train back to Marrakech for a final overnight stay.
Day 8 - Private transfer to Marrakech Airport; depart Marrakech.
NB. if you stay in Rabat for one (or more) nights then the final day will be adjusted accordingly. It is also straightforward to add extra nights in either city upon request, particularly if you have late arrival or early departure flights.

Day 7 - Private transfer to Fez airport for flight home
NB. it is also possible to stay in the Mid Atlas for one (or more) nights in between, we can include additional transfers, a visit to the Cascades at Ouzoud and an opportunity to see the Barbary Apes with accommodation in either Ouzoud or Azrou.
