About Falassarna
Here you'll find five beaches separated from each other by dunes and rocks. Pachia Ammos, which stretches for over a kilometre, is surrounded by imposing mountains. It's the most popular of these beaches due to its fine sand, crystal waters, and fantastic sunsets. It's also well organised with beach bars, umbrellas, a beach volley court, and watersports.
You don’t have to go far to visit the remains of the ancient town, as well as the quarry, the carved throne, and what is left of the Temple of Artemis. Overlooking the bay of Falassarna and worth a visit too, is the church of St Fotis and St Invincible built in a cave.
This area is suited to those looking for a quiet holiday, and who wish to experience the simple pleasures of Cretan life.
