Ryad Mabrouka was one of the first riads in Fez to be converted into a guest house. Since its opening in April 2001, it has received thousands of clients from all over the world.
The Ryad Mabrouka is a very personal little property and its tranquil, well-tended garden, swimming pool and panoramic views of Fez's medina make it a winner with its guests. Much of the original Arabo-Andalusian style has been maintained through the refurbishment by its original owner, Michel Trezzy. The interior courtyard with sculpted plaster work on the columns, magnificent cedar wooden doors, a babbling fountain and the colourful Moroccan mosaïcs opens onto a fragant garden of roses and citrus trees and a small but inviting swimming pool. From the roof top terrace, you will delight in the panoramic view of the "Médina" and the neighbouring countryside.
Transfer Time from Airport: 30 minutes (private transfer).
Ryad Mabrouka offers 8 rooms and suites, all restored in the Moroccan style with colourful "zelliges"(mosaïcs), sculpted plaster work, and carved cedar wood. All rooms have their own private bathroom facilities, done in mosaïcs and taddelak, air-conditioning, safe and wifi.
The riad has some lovely citrus trees in its Mediterranean garden. Full breakfast is included with homemade breads, pastries, jams and fruit juice. Dinners and other meals are on request and you have a choice of Moroccan, French and Mediterranean cuisine. A hammam, swimming pool and roof top terrace with panoramic views are suitable for relaxation.
The riad's terrace offers a unique view on the old town with its myriads of minarets and on the surrounding hills covered with olive groves and sweeping farmland. Often between November and April the snow-capped Mid Atlas Mountains can be seen.
On request is a massage service at the riad, a treat after a full day's visit to the medina! Several hammams are available a few minutes walk from the riad, from the traditional and inexpensive local hammam to the more luxurious hammams at other riads.
