The Osejava in Makarska is a wonderful new boutique hotel (2009); dating from the 1920s, the hotel has been redesigned using local Dalmatian white stone so the building looks fabulous. Located right on the shore, it is just a five minute walk into the centre of town. Whilst the main beach of Makarska is excellent, there is another smaller pebble beach - Nugal beach - 3 kms southeast of Makarska; waymarked trails to the beach start near the Osejava hotel.

50 spacious rooms and suites with traditional design and photographic murals depicting Dalmatian life. All rooms have air- conditioning, mini-bar, satellite TV, safe and internet access. Mountain and side seaview rooms are available and some rooms have balconies.

Two restaurants including the a la carte Zalo slow food gourmet choice with a lovely terrace and seaview and the Konoba Parangal for lighter Mediterranean fare including home-made pizzas; cafe bar and pool bar too.
