The Hotel Televrin is delightfully situated facing the harbour in the small resort of Nerezine. Originally built in 1910 as the port authority (in the Austro-Hungarian style) it was completely renovated in 2003 as a privately owned hotel and restaurant.
13 rooms and 2 apartments. All rooms have en suite bathrooms, air conditioning, TV, telephone and a terrace or balcony. They offer views of the small harbour and the sea or across the hotel's terrace towards a small park, the village square and the Televrin mountain. Rooms also have free Wi-Fi access. The former shop in the east wing was rebuilt in 2016 with a private terrace and is adapted and equipped with the facilities and space for disabled access. Guests have a premium sea view from the ground floor with panoramic windows and terrace; the restaurant can also be easily reached without any obstacles.
Mediterranean food is served at the Televrin restaurant located in a glazed loggia overlooking the harbour as well as a dining room on a large sun terrace facing the park; there is also a bar and 2 terraces, one with views of the harbour and another one facing the village’s park. Fresh fish specialities from Kvarner bay and island lamb are featured as are vegetarian dishes. The hotel provides a small library for its guests with views of the sea or the small park, from where you may be invited to a game of boule.
Activities:
Swimming, surfing, sailing and fishing are just some of the maritime activities right on the hotel's doorstep. Beautiful walks in the hills around the village and hikes across the island provide for alternatives on land with, of course, the surrounding sea always in view. In fact, the nearest bathing possibility is less than a 100m from the hotel; others include"Galboka" a beach about 10 minutes away, with plenty of shade offered by the coastal pine forest.
The mountain of Televrin (589m), which gives the hotel its name, is the highest point of the island and one of the most beautiful walks offering an excellent view of the islands of Kvarner bay. Numerous paths lead to the summit from Nerezine. The southern tip of the island of Cres (facing the hotel across the bay) offers unique paths and trails, you can discover traditional sheep farming, abandoned hamlets and lonely chapels, ancient paths and meadows, lined by dry-stone walls and partially overgrown by macchia, as well as an original flora and fauna now rarely found in the Mediterranean.
A mail and supply ship leaves the port of Mali Lošinj for daily trips to various small islands in the vicinity: Susak, Unije, Ilovik, and Srakane. The 3 to 4-hour boat trips offer interesting insights into everyday island life.
