The Maison du Sud dates from the 18th century and is located in the centre of town, on a pedestrianised side street. It's a smaller property than many but offers a similar style and standard of accommodation and is just 300m to the beach.
The comfortable public lounge and shaded central courtyard with its fountain give the Maison du Sud a homely feel. In the afternoon why not enjoy a traditional mint tea on the large rooftop terrace, with its wonderful sea views of the sea.
Our opinion - friendly, colourful and well looked after riad, still good quality for its price range.
Transfer Time from Airport:
A variety of rooms (24 in total), all have en suite bathrooms and are decorated with traditional furniture in a mix of Moroccan and Andalusian styles. Most rooms are duplex. Double, Triple and Family Rooms are available as well as two-person suites and four-person suites.
The room and suites all open onto a light-filled interior patio with pretty tiles.
Moroccan meals are served on request - a chance to discover Moroccan gastronomy and enjoy traditional dishes served in cosy sitting rooms or one one of the patios– their talented chef has created some interesting menus based on fresh local produce from the market and the port. You'll find attentive service, comfortable sitting rooms and sunny roof terrace with views of the sea and the roof of the Mellah.
The covered inner courtyard contains a small seating area and there is a delightful roof terrace with panoramic views.
The riad has wifi access downstairs. They can provide assistance with parking and luggage transport.
